The Anita and Franklin Hockett College of Nursing Scholarship was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Hockett (BSN '54) who are very committed to supporting students interested in working with persons who are under served and vulnerable populations. The criteria for the scholarship are: a MSN-Clinical Nurse Leader student who demonstrates financial need (FAFSA required) and is a resident of the state of Iowa with preference given to individuals who work in acute care. The student must have demonstrated an interest and desire to help meet the needs of the
under-served in health care.

Kay Grother Scholarship Fund

The Kay Grother Scholarship Fund was founded by Kay Grother (BSN ’60, MA ’64) and is intended to be used to support one or more annual scholarships to a deserving student(s) in the University of Iowa College of Nursing. The scholarship shall be open to all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship, disability, age, or veteran status.

When selecting a recipient(s) it is the Donor's desire that preference be given to a student in the Master of Science in Nursing - Clinical Nurse Leader program with financial need. If a Master of Science in Nursing - Clinical Nurse Leader student with financial need is not identified, then the scholarship may be awarded to a Doctor of Nursing Practice student with financial need. The scholarship shall be renewable to any recipient so long as the recipient continues to qualify under the specified criteria.
