Biography

Jan Miller’s nursing career has included care of various populations ranging from mother-infant, school age, adult and geriatric in both acute and community settings with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention across the lifespan. 

Her teaching journey has encompassed clinical, lab, and classroom positions prior to employment at the University of Iowa. Other areas of interest include allergy/immunology, nutrition, and the benefits of using simulation in nursing education. Jan is the chair of the Young Community Nurse Clinician Program. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International- Gamma Chapter, Association of Community Health Nurse Educators, American Nurses Association, and National Association of School Nurses.
