CCNE Accreditation

The baccalaureate degree programs in nursing, master’s degree program in nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice programs, and post-graduate APRN certificate programs at the University of Iowa College of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (www.ccneaccreditation.org).

Notice of Reaccreditation Visit

The University of Iowa College of Nursing is scheduled for an on-site evaluation on March 4-6, 2019 from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) as a part of our reaccreditation process. The College is seeking CCNE reaccreditation of the baccalaureate degree program in nursing (BSN), master's degree program in nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, and Post-Graduate APRN Certificate program.

CCNE welcomes written comments from program constituents and the public concerning the University of Iowa College of Nursing programs’ qualifications for accreditation status. CCNE will share comments with the site visitors prior to the visit however, these comments will not be shared with the University of Iowa College of Nursing. During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers third-party comments, if any, that relate to the accreditation standards.

The written comments must be received by CCNE by February 11, 2019. All comments are to be directed to:
