CON Celebrates UI’s New ‘For Iowa. Forever More.’ Campaign

At the University Club on Saturday, May 4, more than 40 alumni and friends gathered to witness firsthand the impact of private support to the College of Nursing, and to kick-off the university’s new “For Iowa. Forever More.” comprehensive fundraising campaign.

To build on our success and keep pace with the increasing demand for nursing professionals, the college has renewed and expanded its commitment to developing innovative academic programs and learning experiences, supporting our center of research, and preparing “Iowa nurses” to become future health care leaders in our state, across the nation, and the world.

From scholarships and classroom education to technology, clinical programs, and research, the UI College of Nursing is working on many fronts to benefit students, faculty, alumni, practitioners, and patients. For Iowa. Forever More. will help the College of Nursing attract the best and brightest students and faculty as well as continue to be leaders in education, research and service.

During the campaign kickoff brunch, Sally Mathis Hartwig shared her passion for investing in nursing education and research and inspired all in attendance with the quote, “it is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little.”

Combined, we will achieve our goal of raising $16 million for the future of nursing—For Iowa, Forever More.
