Berg, Siewert Selected as AANP Fellows

Associate Professors Mary Berg, DNP, RN, and Rebecca Siewert, DNP, NNP-BC, were recently inducted as Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

The purpose of the AANP Fellows program is to impact national and global health by engaging recognized nurse practitioner leaders who make outstanding contributions to clinical practice, research, education or policy.

College of Nursing Faculty Bring Standardized Nursing Language to Nigeria

This spring, two faculty members from the College of Nursing travelled nearly 6,500 miles to Nigeria to share their work on nursing education and curriculum development. Howard Butcher, PhD, RN, associate professor, and Sue Moorhead, PhD, RN, FAAN, associate professor and director of the Center for Nursing Classification and Clinical Effectiveness (CNC) were invited to speak at the 3rd Biennial NANDA International African Network Conference.

Huber Featured in ‘Lift Iowa’

As with many successful people, Diane Huber’s long list of accomplishments starts out with a change of plans. Today she’s known as Professor Diane Huber, but back in the early ‘80s, she wanted to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. Huber applied to a program at the University of Iowa however; all the openings had already been filled.
