Jenny Horstmeyer, an incoming first-year Early Admission Student in the University of Iowa College of Nursing, has been selected as a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) NURSE Corps Scholar.
Starting this fall from September 7 through November 30, there is a new support group for African American students called Being Black at Iowa. Meetings will be held on Wednesdays from 12-1 p.m. at the Women's Resource & Action Center (WRAC), which is located at 230 N. Clinton Street in Iowa City. (Some of you will know this location as the old Bowman House.)
Professor Amany Farag, PhD, RN, recently learned that her proposed research project, which is titled “Keeping Patients Safe: Examining Predictors of Nurses’ Fatigue and the Moderating Effect of Inter-Shift Recovery on Patient Safety Outcomes,” has been selected for funding by a regulatory excellence grant from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
