Biography

Dr. Anderson received his MSN from the Cleveland Clinic/Case Western Reserve University Anesthesia Nursing Program in 2008. He joined the University of Iowa Department of Anesthesia shortly thereafter and has worked as a staff CRNA since.

Dr. Anderson received his DNP in 2014 from the University of Iowa and his capstone project focused on Infection Control in the Operating Room. His research and clinical interests include neuroanesthesia, infection control, the evolution of teaching and continuing education and evidence-based practice and quality assurance research. Dr. Anderson is also very involved with the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA), the Iowa Association of Nurse Anesthetists (IANA) and was the Emerging Leader Fellow for the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) from 2014-2016. Dr. Anderson was appointed Clinical Coordinator for UI's Anesthesia Nursing Program in August, 2015.
