Zainab Alzawad, PhD, M.Ed., MANP, RN

Dr. Zainab Alzawad’s clinical experience has been in pediatric intensive care and general pediatrics. Her research focus is on behavioral and emotional responses of parents during critical illness of their child hospitalization in the pediatric intensive care unit, and instrument validation.

In addition to her research, Dr. Alzawad has worked in the family functioning research program led by Frances M. Lewis, RN, MN, PhD, FAAN, University of Washington, that provides a psycho-behavioral intervention for families dealing with advanced stage cancers in either parent, their dependent children, and how to help them thrive as individuals and as a family.
