Taylor Selected to Serve on ANA Advisory Committee
Associate Professor Janette Taylor, PhD, RN, WHNP-BC, FAAN, has been asked to participate on the American Nurses Association (ANA) Professional Issues Panel on Workplace Violence and Incivility.
ANA received more than 500 applications for this panel. Out of this pool the association created two groups to advise the association and support this important work: the Steering Committee, and the group on which Taylor will be serving, the Advisory Committee.
“The work of the Advisory Committee is to provide guidance and feedback to ANA and the Steering Committee throughout the project period,” said Mary Jo Assi, DNP, RN, director of nursing practice and work environment, ANA.
Additionally, the Advisory Committee will be given opportunities to contribute to the development of resources related to the project.
“Please help me congratulate Janette for her selection to serve on behalf of this important ANA panel,” said Keela Herr, RN, PhD, FAAN, professor and associate dean for faculty, University of Iowa College of Nursing. “It’s great to see Janette’s expertise tapped for this important role in advancing workplace civility for all nurses.”

The ANA advances the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice, promoting the rights of nurses in the workplace, projecting a positive and realistic view of nursing, and by lobbying the Congress and regulatory agencies on health care issues affecting nurses and the public.
