DNP Alumna to Lead IONL
Jennifer Nutt (DNP ′05) has been named the next director of the Iowa Organization of Nurse Leaders (IONL).
Nutt currently serves as Director of Clinical Services at the Iowa Hospital Association (IHA). In this role, which she has held since January 2015, Nutt develops clinical education programs, participates in statewide quality and patient safety initiatives and serves as a liaison with various clinical and quality related organizations.
In addition to her executive leadership at IHA, Nutt has more than 10 years of nursing experience in the inpatient setting and holds two degrees—a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice focusing on Health Systems—both from the University of Iowa. She will replace outgoing president Laura Malone.
“Jennifer and I will be huddling daily to transfer knowledge and make sure that she can hit the ground running,” said Malone in a statement that named Nutt as her successor.
