CON Alumni Assist, Honor Veterans in D.C.

WASHINGTON – Many of the World War II veterans who recently took part in South Dakota Honor Flight #11 required some assistance in order to visit the Washington, D.C. memorial built in their honor.

Dozens of volunteers, including twins June Gratz Schnieder and Joan Gratz – both University of Iowa College of Nursing alumni – were among those helping the veterans on this special journey.

Sincere Gratitude

As 2013 winds down, many of us will take time to reflect on the year and realize there is much to be thankful for. This kind of reflection is common this time of year, and the students, faculty and staff of the University of Iowa College of Nursing feel fortunate to have such amazing supporters—college advocates whose generosity extends well beyond the holiday season.
