Biography

Andrea Achenbach is a faculty member at the University of Iowa College of Nursing. She is currently part of faculty practice, which involves both teaching and clinical practice.

Andrea completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the United States Air Force Academy. She completed her Masters in Nursing and Healthcare Practice and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa. She has been a family nurse practitioner since 2011 and has been practicing for the last three years as a primary care manager at Peterson Air Force Base. Prior to earning her MSN Andrea was an Emergency Room nurse for three years. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau.
