Matthew Robertson, a current participant of UI’s College of Nursing Online Nurse Residency Program at UnityPoint St. Luke's Sioux City, recently won the 2016 Innovations in Patient Care Award for his poster presentation, which was titled “Reducing Anxiety and Distress with Pediatric Blood Samples.”

Bestowed by the Iowa Organization of Nurse Leaders, this award honors nurses who have designed and or contributed to an innovative approach to the delivery of quality patient care.

Marsha Henn, a clinical practice expert and evidence-based practice specialist at UnityPoint, was Robertson’s mentor for the project.
