Kyrsten Ahrens, MSN, BSN, RN
Assistant Professor of Practice (Instructional)
Biography
Kyrsten Ahrens graduated in 2020 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She devoted four and a half years to a post-surgical specialty unit, acquiring many med-surg skills. During that period, she often precepted new faculty/travelers, as well as took students under her wing as a preceptor.
In 2024, Kyrsten obtained her Master of Science in Nursing Education to further her passion for teaching. Kyrsten reduced her time on the post-surgical specialty unit and started teaching part time on the ortho/trauma unit.
Kyrsten's goal is to create a safe space for learning, where students feel confident asking questions, in order to further develop each student's critical thinking and skill sets.
