Biography

Dr. Daniel Crawford is a pediatric nurse practitioner who joined the faculty at the College of Nursing in 2020 and serves as the director of the Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program. He comes to the University of Iowa with past experience as faculty in advanced practice nursing education and in academic leadership. He is passionate about health equity and leveraging the role of the DNP to create social change and improve health outcomes for underserved populations. Dr. Crawford’s area of clinical expertise is pediatric neurology. He continues to practice in pediatric neurology at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital on a part-time basis. In the area of pediatric neurology, he has particular interest in improving the quality of life and care of children with epilepsy.
