Anna Krupp, PhD, MSHP, RN
Anna E. Krupp, PhD, MSHP, RN is an Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa College of Nursing whose research advances clinical decision-making and care delivery in critical care settings. Her work integrates clinical informatics and implementation science to improve ICU patient outcomes, with a focus on mobility interventions, clinical decision support, and use of electronic health records in research. She leads and collaborates on federally funded studies supported by AHRQ, NIH, and ARPA-H, and has contributed to national guideline development for ICU care. Her research informed by over 14 years of clinical practice as an ICU nurse and clinical nurse specialist.
Dr. Krupp teaches graduate-level courses in quality improvement and mentors students across academic levels, including PhD, DNP, and undergraduate students. She is committed to fostering scientific inquiry and leadership in nursing, serving as co-director of the Young Scientist Program and co-chair of the Health Information Technology Scholarly Interest Group. Dr. Krupp is actively involved in national research networks and serves on panels for NIH and professional societies including American Association of Critical Care Nurses, American Medical Informatics Association, and Midwest Nursing Research Society. Her work has been recognized with awards for research innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
