Let us show you what it’s like to be a Hawkeye – a visit to campus can make all the difference

  • Choose a daily visit, virtual visit, or Hawkeye Visit Day

  • Please note, these visit options are for students seeking admission to the BSN program. Students seeking more information regarding the RN-BSN program or any of our graduate programs should reach out directly to those programs.

Daily visit

Arranged through the University of Iowa Admissions Visitor Center, a daily visit provides you with important information on admission, housing, student life, and financial aid, followed by a campus walking tour and optional afternoon academic interest sessions. To visit the college, choose College of Nursing presentation under the Optional Activities section when registering.

Academic interest sessions at the College of Nursing are offered during the academic year on most Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Sessions are not held during finals week, university breaks, or holidays.

Register for a daily visit and College of Nursing academic interest session online or by calling the Admissions Visitors Center (319) 335-1566.

Please note that we are currently not able to offer tours of our simulation center, the Nursing Clinical Education Center. The center is in the general hospital and tours have been suspended until further notice due to hospital regulations.

Hawkeye Visit Days

On Hawkeye Visit Days, university staff and student volunteers guide you and several hundred other visitors through a full day of activities, including a session on admission, housing, student life, and financial aid, followed by a Q&A session with current students, complimentary lunch, a resource and information fair, and academic interest sessions.

During registration you can select the College of Nursing session as your afternoon option.
