Prospective students have several opportunities to connect with the College of Nursing and learn more about our students, faculty, facilities, and pathways to becoming an Iowa nurse. Whether you join us on campus or online, these sessions will help you explore what makes the BSN program at the University of Iowa College of Nursing unique.
These visit options are designed specifically for students interested in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. Students seeking information about the RN-BSN or graduate programs should contact those programs directly.

Weekly In-Person College of Nursing Presentations
Join us for an in-person information session to learn how to gain admission to the BSN program at Iowa.
During this presentation, you will learn about:
- The BSN application and admission process
- Academic and clinical opportunities within the program
- Student experiences in the College of Nursing
Sessions are led by program representatives at the College of Nursing. Students and families are welcome to explore the college following the presentation.

Virtual Webinars – College of Nursing Information Sessions
If you are unable to visit campus, you can still learn about the program through virtual information sessions.
These webinars cover:
- The BSN application and admission process
- Academic strengths of the program
- Student experiences and opportunities
- Q&A with representatives from the Pre-Licensure BSN Program
The College of Nursing hosts several webinars each semester, and registration links are updated throughout the academic year.

Hawkeye Visit Days – College of Nursing Session
The College of Nursing participates in Hawkeye Visit Day, hosted by the University of Iowa Office of Admissions.
Opportunities at the event:
- Attend the Exploring Majors Fair
- Participate in a College of Nursing academic session
- Learn about admission pathways and program opportunities
- Ask questions directly to current BSN students
This session offers a great opportunity to hear firsthand what it’s like to be a nursing student at Iowa.

Tours of the Nursing Clinical Education Center (NCEC) are currently unavailable. The simulation lab is located within the hospital environment, and tours are temporarily suspended due to patient safety regulations.
