Delta Health is gearing up for its annual Skills Days event, February 3-7. Shauna L. Meilner, DNP, MSN-Ed, RN, CNE, CCRN, a Clinical Nurse Educator at Delta Health Hospital, has been diligently preparing for the event and recently shared a poster that will be featured.
The "Delta Health Nurse Residency Program: Change Projects, Case Studies, & Committee Work" poster represents a comprehensive showcase of nurse residency projects. Compiled with permission by Meilner, the poster highlights past and current initiatives undertaken by former and current residents.

During Skills Days, Meilner plans to present this material alongside her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project on the Clinical Ladder Program. She will also provide information on how these programs can be integrated under the Nursing Professional Development (NPD) umbrella.
In addition to her preparations for Skills Days, Meilner is working towards achieving her NPD-BC credential this summer. She has been fortunate to receive a grant to bring additional NPD concepts to Delta Health, further enhancing the hospital's professional development initiatives.
As the new year begins, Delta Health staff are looking forward to an engaging and informative Skills Days event, thanks to the efforts of dedicated professionals like Meilner.
