Ms. Kongable earned her MA in Nursing from the UI and bachelor's degrees in Nursing, Psychology, and Religion from Iowa Wesleyan College. She brings more than 40 years of advanced nursing practice experience, with a focus on psychiatric-mental health care, education, and program development.

Ms. Kongable serves as an ARNP in the Adult Psychiatry Clinic at University of Iowa Health Care and at Optimae Mental Health Center, Life Solutions for Behavioral Health, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
