PARTICIPANTS WANTED
Participants wanted for a research study to test a
mobile app for people receiving treatment for cancer
OASIS
OASIS is behavioral health intervention delivered via mobile app to support cancer patients’ ability to control their cancer related symptoms.
OASIS consists of evidenced based symptom management educational content, a health tracking feature to record symptom and use of strategies, a peer group message board to connect with other study participants, and one-to-one messaging with a research nurse.
WANT TO GET INVOLVED?
Who are we looking for?
Adults with cancer of solid tumor origin (any stage)
Inclusion criteria:
Diagnosed with cancer of solid tumor origin
Currently receiving systemic therapy (taking orally or by IV)
Experiencing 1 or more distressing symptom (rated >3 on 0-10 scale) in the past week
Owns smart phone (iPhone or Android)
Able to read & write in English
What’s involved?

Use the app daily for 45 days:
Record your symptoms in the app daily
Connect with other patients through the message board
Access educational materials related to cancer symptom control
Access to research nurse for extra assistance
Completing a questionnaire (sent electronically)
Owns smart phone (iPhone or Android)
Compensation of $50 for full participation
