Biography

Daniel Crawford is a clinical professor and the associate dean for graduate practice programs at the College of Nursing. He is a pediatric nurse practitioner who joined the college faculty in 2020. His area of clinical expertise is pediatric neurology, and he practices clinically in pediatric epilepsy at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Dr. Crawford is a leader in advanced practice registered nurse education and curriculum design. His work in the areas of curriculum design and improving the quality of care for children has been widely presented, published, and recognized nationally and internationally. Dr. Crawford currently serves as president for the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
