My research focuses on using preventive medicine to alleviate chronic pain. My dissertation examines the barriers and facilitators of shingles vaccination among Iowa residents over age 50. Additionally, I am involved in my advisor, Dr. Barbara St. Marie's, research project on transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and buprenorphine.
