Angela is a current VA Quality Scholars Fellow whose research focuses on improving the quality of care for older adults through personalized fall risk self-management strategies. Falls are a leading cause of injury and loss of independence in aging populations, yet prevention efforts often overlook the beliefs, motivations, and experiences that shape older adults' engagement with care. Her work investigates how older adults respond to the risk of falling while striving to maintain independence.
