In the first four months of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CNC undertook a project to identify essential nursing diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes for patient care related to COVID-19. This effort used a consensus process with seven nurses with expertise in NANDA-I, Nursing Interventions Classification and Nursing Outcomes Classification. This work resulted in three publications and linked NANDA-I, NIC and NOCs for communities, individuals and families impacted by COVID.
