Since the beginning of the year, we have discussed going beyond nurse residency. We have showcased our new IONRP Academy, our Supporting Nurses Course, and our Clinician Wellbeing Course, all focused on readying the environment to get the best outcomes possible from your nurse residency program, but it doesn't stop there. We recognize there is more than a one-size-fits-all approach that will work when it comes to supporting new graduate nurses in transition. Over the next few months, we will shift our focus and discuss ways to customize your program and make the Iowa Online Nurse Residency Program your own.
We are kicking things off with our celebration of #nurses all month on our social media channels, website, and podcast. You will learn about nurse residents and the amazing things they are doing due to their time in our program. We will spotlight examples of the tremendous work achieved through engaging in our professional experience by proposing and implementing change projects and engaging in committee work driving real change at the unit level. You will hear about learning champions who spend countless hours precepting and mentoring new nurses throughout their first year of practice and the unique ways organizations customize onsite support to develop a sense of organizational belonging while cultivating a culture of support. We will also recognize many IONRP site coordinators who go above and beyond nurse residency to ensure new graduates get off to a strong start by engaging them in specialty-specific skill development opportunities and elevating their nurse residency program through various recognition efforts. Regardless of their role, the nurses we celebrate this month make a difference in the lives of others.
